What is the recovery period after Sculptra treatments?
Sculptra treatments require minimal social downtime. Patients will experience swelling in and around the injected areas for 2-4 days. However, most patients can return to work or to their usual daily routine once their treatment is complete.
Mild side effects are similar to those experienced with other dermal fillers. They may include swelling, bruising, redness at the injection sides, tenderness, itching, and temporary lumps. To minimize any of these side affects, immediatley post procedure cold packs can be applied. Post-treatment you will be instructed by your provider to vigorously massage the treatment area 5 times per day, for 5 minutes, for 5 days.
Until any side effects have resolved, you can improve the healing process by avoiding sun exposure, extreme heat, or strenuous exercise.
