What Should I Expect During the Sofwave Procedure?

At your consultation, one of our experienced medical aesthetic providers will create your personalized treatment plan. Before the treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to your skin to prevent any discomfort; patients are also offered the additional option of Pronox. The area to be treated will be cleaned and a layer of ultrasound gel will be applied. Your provider will then apply the Sofwave handpiece to your skin, where it will begin delivering its SUPERB™ technology to the deeper layers of tissue. You may feel a slight warming sensation, but there shouldn’t be any pain. In total, the treatment session should only take around 60 minutes and you can leave the office immediately once it’s finished.

What Should I Expect After the Sofwave Procedure?

The body's collagen regeneration process will vary in response to your treatment of Sofwave in Portsmouth or Stratham. Patients are expected to see ongoing improvements in the 3–6-month period post-treatment. You can expect to see noticeable improvements in fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, and/or cellulite throughout the treatment areas.

Typically, the protocol is only 1 treatment. However, depending on the patient’s skin condition, a 2nd treatment may be recommended. While results can be long-lasting, maintenance will still be required as the body will continue to lose collagen at a steady rate.
